Earlier AT&T was the exclusive iPhone carrier since the iPhone concept was introduced in 2007. This report came up when Verizon planned to release its faster 4G Long Term Evolution network in Silicon Valley and other markets, such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle and the Boston-to-Washington corridor in the Northeast, by year end. It is only the 4G which can do the magic via accelerating the process, he adds, according to The Associated Press. Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam echoed Seidenberg's, at a wireless industry conference in San Francisco, states: “According to AP. Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Britain's Vodafone. In Silicon Valley, Verizon intends to launch its 4G network in areas of San Jose and cities including Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Redwood City and San Mateo. In the rest of the Bay Area, Verizon plans coverage in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Hayward, along Highway 24 stretching to Walnut Creek and along Interstate 680 from Fremont to Concord.”
